Microneedling
What is Microneedling?
​
Microneedling is a great treatment for treating acne scarring, ageing, pigmentation, scarring and stretchmarks. It works by creating multiple superficial puncture wounds which stimulate fibroblasts in the skin, these create new collagen and elastin.
The treatment traumatises the skin without collateral damage to the epidermis and healthy tissue.
Recovery time is minimal without pain or discomfort.

At the Lash & Beauty Clinic we use a needle stamp machine/pen as opposed to a dermaroller as the stamp pen is faster to work with and its design means it stamps directly into the dermis. It is also smaller which means the cartridge can get into smaller places such as grows feet and the nasolabial lines. The Pen also created less damage to the skin meaning more comfort for the client coupled with a better result.

How many treatments are recommended?
​
Durning your consultation we will analyse your skin type and discuss with you which serums would be best suited to your skin type. At this point we will recommend a course of treatment for you to obtain the maximum results.
Generally speaking we advise that clients have subsequent treatments every 4-8 weeks until they reach desired results. A course of 3 treatments is usually sufficient and we can offer you a package cost to if you decide to book a course.

How is the treatment performed?
​
The procedure is performed by first cleansing the skin throughly and then a numbing cream is applied to the skin for 20-30 mins.
(If required, many clients are fine without.)
The skin is then cleaned again and an enzyme peel is applied. This removes any dead skin cells to ensure your results are maximised.
We then begin the microneedling procedure which last approx 20-30 mins, we will pay special attention to any problem areas during this time.
After the treatment we apply a cooling and hydrating face mask for 10 mins before applying SPF50 to complete the treatment.

Maximising Treatment results
​
We strongly recommend adding a 15 minute session under the LED Lamp after your microneedling treatment to enhance your treatment results. We are currently running a special offer on this additional treatment when a course of 3 Microneedling treatments are booked.
